Paul Cruickshank Racing (PCR), based in Yatala,   Queensland, began operations in 2003.  PCR originated as a two car V8 Supercar Development Series Team, a feeder category to the main V8 Supercar Championship Series.

2004 saw the team diversify and enter the Australian   Porsche Carrera Cup Series and further expand in 2005 with the launch of a second Carrera Cup entry.

In 2006, with the support of V8 Supercars Australia and the Ford Motor Company Australia, PCR became the first team to graduate from the Development Series into the main championship.

PCR has received technical support from some of the best teams in the series.  In 2008 all our engines were supplied by the multi-championship winning team Stone Brothers Racing (SBR).  Our 2008 chassis was the one used by Craig Lowndes in his very successful season in 2007 and our relationship with  Triple Eight Race Engineering extended to a parts supply agreement.

Season 2008 saw the introduction of a new, exciting young driver in Fabian Coulthard.  In only its third year on the grid, WSR was 13th overall in 2008; the best result by a single car team in the Championship.  WSR was by far the best performing single car team in 2008, with Fabian Coulthard finishing ahead of well credentialed drivers Mark Skaife, Greg Murphy and Jason Bright .

WSR expands to a two car operation in 2009, providing further exposure opportunities.  2009 sees the launch of striking new livery and colour scheme, and the acquisition of a brand new Ford FG racer as the lead car.  WSR has formed a technical support alliance with 2008 Championship winning team Triple 8 Race Engineering (Team Vodafone), the only team in the category to have high level support from the current Championship Team.

Team Principal Paul Cruickshank has vast experience and knowledge in motorsport and V8 Supercars, having worked in the industry in Australia and internationally.
